Efter kampen.
Pochettino: “ Never give up, that’s the most important characteristic …. to concede so early increased their belief. But the team was fighting, taking risks and I’m so pleased because we’ve won the game and we’re alive in the competition …. Now we play Inter, another battle. It will be good to be in that position, still optimistic and believing that we can still go to the next section.“
Harry Winks som defensiv midt
Pochettino: “ …. I’m so happy with him. He is playing a lot, played the last three games 90 minutes. The only way to grow is playing games, making mistakes and live the experience. I am so happy with him, today was to play alone like a holding midfielder with Christian and Dele Alli next to him. I think it was a massive challenge and I think his performance was very, very good. It was excellent.“
Publikum ikke tilfreds med udskiftningen af Lucas
Pochettino: ” I understand. I like it. After four-and-a-half years it’s the first time they criticise and don’t agree, but in the end we won. Of course the fans were disappointed. They want to play with nine or ten strikers when losing the game, but we wanted to find a solution …. We put Fernando Llorente on and he helped Harry Kane score the goal. We tried to find different way to play. People say there is no Plan B. The most important thing in football is to have a plan …. I have nothing to say about the fans. I am happy and grateful and I understand their reaction. If I was in the stand my reaction would be the same. Thank you to the fans for coming to Wembley to support the team. Fantastic effort.“
