Rose bliver i Tottenham
Rose (29. august): “ The manager has spoken to us all a couple of weeks ago and said everybody starts from zero … We all have to start again trying to impress him and that’s great. We all go again … I’m good. I’m not listening to the speculation about my future … If I’m here past Friday, which I’m expecting to be, which will be great, I’m looking forward to seeing what we can achieve at the end of the season … Me and the manager have had a conversation over the phone, as well as two one-hour meetings over the last couple of weeks … We’re both aware of the situation. (Monday) was massive for me that, even though there is speculation, he still trusts and believes in me to put me into such a massive game, a game where he didn’t need to change anything … For me, over the last four or five years we’ve worked together, that is probably the biggest thing he has done for me … I have to thank him for that. I have to thank because it would have been easy for him not to play me given the speculation that is going around “

Pochettino: ” We need to show more respect to this competition. It’s difficult for me to understand after four years of us being contenders … Today, from the beginning, we needed to go there like a lion. If you want to win you need to show that character … Maybe you cannot play so well but you need to win this type of game if you want to be a contender at the end “

Før kampen mod Liverpool skriver thesportsman.com : ” Mauricio Pochettino has called for his Tottenham side to have the correct attitude when they take on Liverpool this lunchtime in the Premier League. His side are still reeling from a surprise defeat against an in-form Watford, in which his side was fairly passive in defeat – “If Saturday we play in the same way rather than take off players, I will be on the phone to say, ‘Houston, we have a problem!” – “Come on. If, against Liverpool at Wembley, you do not have the desire and the focus to play… – “It is not about playing well. It is about attitude and to say, ‘Hey, come on. We are aggressive and we try to win.’ – “If you watch the Watford game again, you see we played so slow, so sloppy, from the beginning. It was like we thought, ‘OK, it is a nice afternoon in Watford… Elton John is in the stands!’ It was like going to Hyde Park with my child ”
